The plug-in hybrid GTE model comes with a 2.0-liter TFSI turbocharged engine with the small electric motor that will be able to travel all-electric 30 miles. All engines coming with an 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive system.

The 2023 Touareg is more expensive than the outgoing model, thanks to a redesigned body, new technology features, and engines, so this SUV could cost around $43,000.
The new Touareg is coming in three trim levels, Sport, Wolfsburg and Executive. The Executive models could cost over $61,000. The biggest rivals are Acura MDX, Audi Q7, Lincoln MKX, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Lexus RX and BMW X5.
